Centaurus Prime has a series of Gateways (Siemens, Staefa, Barber-Colman, Trane) that integrate legacy field equipment into a BACnet system. Of particular interest to S4IS customers is the "P1-Gateway" as an interim solution until the S4IS Siemens Gateway is completed in 2025. The Centaurus Prime P1-Gateway interfaces up to four RS-485 "FLN" (Floor Level Network) trunks with field equipment from Siemens (also known as Staefa, Landis & Staefa, Landis & Gyr, Powers, or even MCC Mark Controls). The P1-trunk field devices supported (MPU, DPU, MX22, BIM, and all TEC devices) will appear to the front-end system as a series of true BACnet Devices. Real time point data from the Siemens P1-trunk controllers is then mapped to equivalent AI, BI, AO, and BO objects on the BACnet system. All operations are transparent to the user and BACnet system. The full 16-level priority BACnet system is maintained by the Gateway. Statistics points (BACnet AVs) are maintained by the Gateway for each field device, to facilitate trunk troubleshooting.

S2USB485
The S2USB485 is a USB to full-duplex RS-232 and half-duplex RS-485 serial converter integrated into a single device. In essence the S2USB485 is a single USB serial port that has two electrical interfaces available to it (RS-232 and RS-485). Either interface can be used without the need to set jumpers or change dip switch settings.
